June 8 – July 31
Placer County Library Invites Readers of All Ages to Participate in Virtual Summer Reading Program
Placer County Library’s Summer Program kicks off June 8th! This year’s Tails and Tales theme celebrates animals, dinosaurs, mythical creatures, and more. Placer County Library invites readers of all ages to track reading, participate in challenges, and win badges and prizes through the digital platform, Beanstack. Plus, do not miss out on special virtual performances featuring puppets, magic, science, and of course, animals! Back by popular demand, each week enjoy a new take-home project featuring family-friendly crafts, games, engineering challenges, and more. Just swing by your nearest library during business hours to pick up everything you’ll need.
That’s not all! For every 100,000 minutes that Placer reads, your Librarians have agreed to do something outrageous! “Last year we had a refreshing ice water splash and multiple very messy pies to the face!” recalls Programming Librarian Felicia Black. “What will we have to do this year?!” Find out by reading together this summer!
Starting June 8th join the summer program by visiting https://placer.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack app (free for iOS and Android). To learn more about the summer reading adventure, visit the library’s website, www.placer.ca.gov/library and follow Placer County Library on social media.
