Our goal has been to supply the Granite Bay Library with the equipment and materials required to maintain an up to date library and to supply the funds to provide the Summer Reading and Children’s Reading programs. We have also tried to create a sense of community in the area by providing cultural events such as Arts Evenings featuring local artists and musicians and our annual Young Authors Event to foster writing skills.
We were recently recognized for our transparency with a 2018 Silver Seal on our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile! GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. In order to get the 2018 Silver Seal, Friends of the Granite Bay Library shared important information with the public using our profile on www.guidestar.org. Now our community members and potential donors can find in-depth financial information about our organization.
