Longtime Granite Bay resident Tish Santor is another artist who will be displaying her work at the Friends of the Granite Bay Library’s Wine and Art Event on Sept. 17. For Tish, sharing her art together in the community is a delight.
“For me, art is joy. Art is play. I do my best work when painting together in studio with other artists,” Tish said. “Being a self-taught artist, I welcome the inspiration and constructive guidance of fellow artists on a similar journey. Each piece offers a new lesson in technique, brush selection, color theory and composition. I especially like to explore new techniques as the inspiration presents itself.”
Tish specializes in acrylic pieces. Florals, abstract impression and still life are her current inspirations. She was involved with the Art Docent program for 12 years and she also taught in a literature-based pre-school that had a heavy emphasis on three art projects to correspond with the stories of the day.
