Starting Monday, August 10th, the Granite Bay Library will offer Walk-Through Service from 9AM-12PM on Mondays and Tuesdays. What does “Walk-Through” mean? Think of it like take-out from your favorite restaurant: you place your order online, pick it up at the designated time that it will be ready, and you’re on your way out the door. Granite Bay will pilot a similar service delivery, where customers can use self-service to check out available holds or get limited check out or reference assistance from library staff – think overriding blocks or help with self-service. No browsing in the stacks, no internet computer use, no lingering; customers will not be able to pay fines or check out items that aren’t their currently available holds. Temporary fencing from the entryway will lead customers to the library marketplace and out the community room door – contactless and quick!
