Thanks to all of our amazing donors the Friends of the Granite Bay Library was once again able to donate $20,000 in 2019 to the Granite Bay Library to purchase an array of books and media that are of interest to all ages in our community.
2019 was another amazing year! Here are a few highlights that demonstrate our growth in building awareness and additional funding to benefit our Library.
- Social media presence experienced a 10% increase in our Facebook followers and 11.81% increase in Website users.
- We had nine articles published in the Granite Bay View and Roseville Press Tribune.
- We partnered with Eskaton Lodge in Granite Bay to develop four programs open to the community.
- We coordinated and participated in three community programs, Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration, Earth Day and Read for the Record.
- We opened our used book donation bin.
- We received two awards: “Celebrate Literacy Award” and “Silver Guide Star.”
- We coordinated three fundraisers in addition to our ongoing book sales.
To make all this happen takes an incredibly dedicated board. Together we all dedicated almost 1,000 volunteer hours. Quite an accomplishment!
We’re looking forward to another fulfilling year that opens your imagination and helps you discover new things, people and places through reading and connects you to our community and library.
